A statement from Mackenzie
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be moving to America in January 2026 to join the Wichita State University Women’s Division 1 Golf team.
I will be joining fellow Tasmanian, Mackenzie Wilson in the team.
I have decided to start early and spend the first semester as a red-shirt freshman, which means that I will be part of the team, playing qualifying events (which normally selects who will travel to compete) but I will not be travelling or competing in this first semester. This early start will allow me to settle in and get ahead on my classes before officially starting as a freshman in August 2026.
Our conference travels to places like Florida, Mexico, Arizona and other local states around Kansas.
I’m hoping that my game stacks up and that I get to be a regular player travelling and competing with the team.
I’m very excited for the opportunity and although it will be a long way from home, I think that it will greatly benefit my golf and allow me to grow as a person!
