Royal had a representative team compete in each of the four Division Finals of the GST SCRATCH FOURSOMES held at Tasmania GC on 25/08/2022.
Winners from Royal Hobart Golf Club:
Div.1, Wendy Davidson & Sue Frith v/s Tasmania GC on the 18th;
Div.3 Janet Bracken & Julianne Drewitt v/s Claremont GC 5/4; and
Div.4. Alison Sully & Prunella Cameron v/s Kingston Beach on the 19th.
Background:
Event is co-ordinated by Golf South Tasmania; coordinated by Vicki Knight, GST Interim Board member;
Knockout match play foursomes competition;
Participating clubs were Royal, Kingston Beach, Claremont and Tasmania;
Clubs prescribed to enter two teams in each of the 4 divisions (some clubs only provided one team, consequently Royal had 3 walk overs from Round 1)
Breakup of Division handicaps: Div.1 GA 0+, Div.2 GA18-25, Div.3 GA 24-31; Div.4 GA 28+
The Scratch Foursomes kicked off on Thursday 11th August at Royal Hobart with 13 matches of players from participating clubs.
The second round comprised of 8 matches held 18th August at Claremont.
3rd & Final Round of 4 matches held 25th August at Tasmania GC.
